Data collection on this website
Who is responsible for data collection on this website?
Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. You can find the operator’s contact details in the section “Note on the Controller” in this Privacy Policy.
How do we collect your data?
On the one hand, your data is collected when you provide it to us. This may be, for example, data you enter into a contact form.
Other data is collected automatically or with your consent by our IT systems when you visit the website. These are primarily technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system or time of page access). This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter this website.
What do we use your data for?
Part of the data is collected to ensure the error-free provision of the website. Where contracts can be concluded or initiated via the website, for example in the case of inquiries, bookings or reservations, the data transmitted will also be processed for offers, bookings or other inquiries.
What rights do you have regarding your data?
You have the right at any time to obtain information free of charge about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request rectification or erasure of this data. If you have given consent to data processing, you may withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right, under certain circumstances, to request restriction of the processing of your personal data. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
You can contact us at any time about this and other questions on the subject of data protection.
No analytics or advertising services
We do not use any analytics, tracking or advertising services on this website. Your surfing behaviour is not statistically evaluated. Fonts are loaded from our own server. We host the content of our website with the following provider:
IONOS

Use of IONOS is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the most reliable presentation of our website possible. Where corresponding consent has been requested, processing is based exclusively on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user’s device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TDDDG. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
Data Processing Agreement
We have concluded a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) for the use of the above service. This is a contract required under data protection law that ensures IONOS processes the personal data of our website visitors only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.
3. General notes and mandatory information

The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations and this Privacy Policy.
When you use this website, various personal data are collected. Personal data are data by which you can be personally identified. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this happens.
We point out that data transmission over the internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) may have security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
Note on the Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
LOLA Waldgut GmbH & Co. KG
Dr.-Wilhelm-Külz-Straße 12

The controller is the natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, decides on the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (e.g. names, email addresses, etc.).
Storage period
Unless a more specific storage period is specified within this Privacy Policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for data processing ceases to apply. If you assert a justified request for deletion or withdraw consent to data processing, your data will be deleted provided we have no other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e.g. retention periods under tax or commercial law); in the latter case, deletion will take place after these reasons cease to apply.
General information on the legal bases of data processing on this website
If you have consented to data processing, we process your personal data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where special categories of data pursuant to Art. 9(1) GDPR are processed, Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR. If you have consented to the storage of cookies or to access to information on your device (e.g. via device fingerprinting), processing is additionally based on § 25(1) TDDDG. Consent can be withdrawn at any time. If your data is necessary for the performance of a contract or for pre-contractual measures, we process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Furthermore, we process your data if this is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation on the basis of Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR. Data processing may also be based on our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The applicable legal basis in each individual case is explained in the following paragraphs of this Privacy Policy.
Recipients of personal data
In the course of our business activities, we work with various external parties. This may require the transfer of personal data to these external parties. We only pass on personal data to external parties if this is necessary for the fulfillment of a contract, if we are legally required to do so (e.g. transfer to tax authorities), if we have a legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in the transfer, or if another legal basis permits the transfer. When using processors, we only transfer personal data of our customers on the basis of a valid Data Processing Agreement. In the case of joint processing, a Joint Controller Agreement is concluded.
Withdrawal of your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You may withdraw consent you have already given at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out until the withdrawal remains unaffected.
Right to object to data processing in specific cases and to direct marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)
IF DATA PROCESSING IS BASED ON ART. 6(1)(E) OR (F) GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT AT ANY TIME, ON GROUNDS RELATING TO YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION, TO OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RELEVANT LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING CAN BE FOUND IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA CONCERNED UNLESS WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING WHICH OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS OR THE PROCESSING SERVES THE ESTABLISHMENT, EXERCISE OR DEFENSE OF LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(1) GDPR).
IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA ARE PROCESSED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR SUCH MARKETING; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING INSOFAR AS IT IS RELATED TO SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL SUBSEQUENTLY NO LONGER BE USED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(2) GDPR).
Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority
In the event of violations of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, their place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. The right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies.
Right to data portability
You have the right to have data which we process on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract delivered to you or to a third party in a commonly used, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done where technically feasible.
Access, rectification and erasure
Within the scope of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to free access to your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of data processing, and, where applicable, a right to rectification or erasure of this data. You can contact us at any time about this and other questions on the subject of personal data.
Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time about this. The right to restriction exists in the following cases:
-
If you contest the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we usually need time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request restriction of the processing of your personal data.
-
If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you may request restriction of data processing instead of erasure.
-
If we no longer need your personal data, but you require it for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims, you have the right to request restriction of processing instead of erasure.
-
If you have objected pursuant to Art. 21(1) GDPR, a balancing of your interests and ours must be carried out. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request restriction of the processing of your personal data.
If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, such data may—apart from being stored—only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or of a Member State.
SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.
If SSL/TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
Objection to unsolicited emails
We hereby object to the use of contact data published as part of our legal notice obligations for the transmission of unsolicited advertising and information material. The operators of the pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited sending of advertising information, such as spam emails.
4. Data collection on this website
Cookies and storage of information on your device
Cookies are small text files that your browser stores on your device. This website only uses cookies that are strictly necessary to provide the functions you have requested. We do not use cookies for analytics or advertising purposes. For this reason, we do not display a cookie banner asking for consent.
The following cookies may be set:
- pll_language (this website, language plugin Polylang): stores the language you have selected (German or English) so that the website is displayed in this language. Storage period: 1 year.
- comment_author_…, comment_author_email_…, comment_author_url_… (this website, WordPress): only set if you tick the corresponding box when writing a comment; they remember your name, email address and website for a further comment. Storage period: 3 minutes.
- wordpress_…, wordpress_logged_in_…, wp-settings-… (this website, WordPress): only set when staff log in to the administration area, not for visitors of the website.
The legal basis for the strictly necessary cookies is § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in displaying the website to you without technical errors and in the language you have chosen. The comment cookies are only set on the basis of your consent by ticking the box (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG).
You can configure your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies, to allow cookies only in individual cases or to exclude them in general, and to delete cookies automatically when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.
Server log files
Our hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- browser type and browser version
- operating system used
- referrer URL
- host name of the accessing computer
- time of the server request
- IP address
This data is not combined with other data sources.
This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and the security of our website; for this purpose, the server log files must be recorded.
Website protection (firewall)
To protect against attacks, we use the firewall NinjaFirewall (WP Edition). It runs entirely on our own server and checks incoming requests for attack patterns. In doing so, the IP address, the requested address, the time and the identifier of your browser are processed. For blocked or suspicious requests, this information is stored in a log. It is not transmitted to third parties.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the security of our website and in defending against attacks.
Contact form
If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
The processing of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request is related to the performance of a contract or necessary for pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) if requested; consent can be withdrawn at any time.
The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request deletion, withdraw your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your inquiry has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions—especially retention periods—remain unaffected.
Inquiry by email, telephone or fax
If you contact us by email, telephone or fax, your inquiry including all resulting personal data (name, inquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
Processing of this data is based on Art.
The data you send to us via contact inquiries will remain with us until you request deletion, withdraw your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions—especially statutory retention periods—remain unaffected.
Messages from the forms on this website are sent to us by email via the mail server of our hosting provider IONOS.
Comment function on this website
For the comment function on this site, in addition to your comment, information on the time of creation of the comment, your email address and, if you do not post anonymously, the username you have chosen are stored.
Storage period for comments
Comments and the associated data are stored and remain on this website until the commented content has been completely deleted or the comments must be deleted for legal reasons (e.g. offensive comments).
Legal basis
Storage of comments is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent you have given at any time. An informal email to us is sufficient. The lawfulness of data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the withdrawal.
Spam protection for comments
To protect the comment function against spam, we use the plugin Antispam Bee. It checks comments exclusively on our own server without transmitting data to third parties. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in protection against spam.
5. Bookings and reservations
Online booking via SiteMinder
For the online booking of rooms, we use the booking platform of SiteMinder. The provider for customers in Europe is SiteMinder Distribution Limited, Suite 1, 7th Floor, 50 Broadway, London SW1H 0DB, United Kingdom (hereinafter “SiteMinder”).
The booking platform is not embedded in our website. Only when you click on “Booking” or “Book now” are you taken to the booking page at direct-book.com. There, the data you enter (e.g. name, address, email address, telephone number, travel dates, payment data) as well as technical data such as your IP address are processed in order to carry out your booking.
Processing is carried out to take pre-contractual measures and to perform the accommodation contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). SiteMinder processes the booking data on our behalf on the basis of a data processing agreement. For the United Kingdom, there is an adequacy decision of the EU Commission (Art. 45 GDPR). Insofar as data is processed by companies of the SiteMinder group outside the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, this is done on the basis of appropriate safeguards pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR.
Further information can be found in SiteMinder’s privacy policy: https://www.siteminder.com/legal/privacy/.

Processing is carried out to handle your reservation (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Teburio processes the data on our behalf on the basis of a data processing agreement. Further information: https://www.teburio.de/datenschutzerklaerung.
6. Newsletter
Newsletter data
If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an email address from you and information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided and agree to receive the newsletter. No further data are collected or only on a voluntary basis. We use these data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass them on to third parties, with the exception of our newsletter service provider Brevo, which processes the data on our behalf (see below).
Processing of the data entered in the newsletter registration form is based exclusively on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw the consent given for the storage of the data, the email address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the “unsubscribe” link in the newsletter. The lawfulness of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the withdrawal.
The data you provide to us for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored by us and/or the newsletter service provider until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and deleted from the newsletter distribution list after you unsubscribe or after the purpose has ceased to apply. We reserve the right to delete or block email addresses from our newsletter distribution list at our own discretion within the scope of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Data stored by us for other purposes remain unaffected.
After you unsubscribe from the newsletter distribution list, your email address may be stored by us and/or the newsletter service provider in a blacklist if this is necessary to prevent future mailings. The data from the blacklist will only be used for this purpose and will not be merged with other data. This serves both your interest and our interest in complying with legal requirements when sending newsletters (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Storage in the blacklist is not time-limited. You can object to the storage if your interests outweigh our legitimate interest.
Newsletter dispatch via Brevo
We use Brevo to send our newsletter. The provider is Brevo GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany (hereinafter “Brevo”).
The sign-up form is provided by Brevo. To ensure that no connection to Brevo is established when you visit our website, it is only loaded when you click on “Load newsletter form”. From this point on, your IP address and technical information about your browser are transmitted to Brevo. After signing up, you will receive an email in which you confirm your subscription (double opt-in). The time of sign-up and confirmation as well as the IP address used are stored in order to be able to prove the subscription.
Brevo can be used to evaluate whether a newsletter was opened and which links in it were clicked. This evaluation serves to improve our newsletters. If you do not want this evaluation, you can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.
The sign-up data is processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). The sign-up form is loaded at your request by clicking and on the basis of our legitimate interest in a simple sign-up procedure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Brevo processes the data on our behalf on the basis of a data processing agreement. Further information: https://www.brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy/.
7. Links to social networks
On our website, we link to our profiles on Instagram and Facebook (provider: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland). These are simple links, not embedded content or plugins. Therefore, no data is transmitted to these networks when you visit our website. Only when you click on a link are you taken to the provider’s page, to which the provider’s privacy policy applies.
8. Customer and contract data
Processing customer and contract data
We collect, process and use personal customer and contract data to establish, structure and change our contractual relationships. We collect, process and use personal data about the use of this website (usage data) only to the extent necessary to enable the user to use the service or to bill for it. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
The collected customer data will be deleted after completion of the order or termination of the business relationship and expiry of any statutory retention periods. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
9. Job applications
Handling applicant data
We offer you the opportunity to apply to us (e.g. by email, post or via an online application form). Below we inform you about the scope, purpose and use of your personal data collected during the application process. We assure you that the collection, processing and use of your data will be in accordance with applicable data protection law and all other legal provisions and that your data will be treated strictly confidentially.
Scope and purpose of data collection
If you send us an application, we process your associated personal data (e.g. contact and communication data, application documents, notes taken during interviews, etc.) insofar as this is necessary to decide on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis is § 26 BDSG under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (general contract initiation) and—if you have given consent—Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent can be withdrawn at any time. Your personal data will only be passed on within our company to persons involved in processing your application.
If the application is successful, the data you have submitted will be stored in our data processing systems for the purpose of implementing the employment relationship on the basis of § 26 BDSG and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Retention period of the data
If we are unable to make you a job offer, you reject a job offer or withdraw your application, we reserve the right to retain the data you have transmitted to us on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for up to 6 months after the end of the application process (rejection or withdrawal of the application). Thereafter, the data will be deleted and physical application documents destroyed. Retention serves in particular as evidence in the event of a legal dispute. If it is apparent that the data will be required after the 6-month period has expired (e.g. due to a pending or impending legal dispute), deletion will only take place when the purpose for further retention no longer applies.
Longer retention can also take place if you have given corresponding consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) or if statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.
